(Back post on Disneyland! Was too tired the other day.)

Back at home in aus, I booked tickets online to go to Disneyland. Really easy to book, website easy to navigate as it is in English. We had talked to some friends about Disneyland vs Disneysea and decided that this visit we would go Disneyland, as Disneysea is apparently more orientated towards kids.

That morning when we woke up, the skies were grey and cloudy - oh no! I was really hoping that the clouds would part and it would be sunny, but that was wishful thinking.

As soon as we left the hotel, it started to sprinkle with rain. From that point in the day, the rain would get heavier and heavier as time went on.

Before going to Disneyland, you can check the number of guests that are expected in a day on the Disneyland website. For the day that we went, it was predicted that there would be 100% capacity .. i.e. Crazy!

It was easy to get to Disneyland - chuo express train to tokyo and transfer to another line to get to maihama (Disneyland station). I was expecting big crowds but I was surprised when we got to the park- it didn't seem thaaaat full. Probably because it was raining...!

During the day we managed to go on most of the main ride attractions, except for the Big Thunder Mountain which was closed for reno and splash mountain because it was a wet enough day as it was. The rain got so heavy to the point where it felt monsoon- like!

Due to the really heavy rain, we decided to leave Disneyland around 5pm and head to shibuya for dinner as it was too rainy to continue staying outdoors, and also the fireworks would probably be cancelled due to the weather too.

Following a recommendation from Mike, we went to eat at Midori no Sushi in Mark City (shopping centre joined to Shibuya Starion). Great place! Only thing to note is that there is no English menu... But there are pictures so you can look and point at what you want to eat.

We were feeling indecisive, so we decided to go with their 'Autumn Set Menu' - crab salad, chuwanmushi, miso soup and a sushi platter. I wasn't a big fan of the crab salad, as it tasted just a bit too crabby for me! Very strong flavour. Wink liked it though, so I donated my portion to him (yay! benefit of having a bf) because I didn't want to waste any food (japanese people don't like wasting food, only order what you can eat!).

Felt very very full after the set meal. Pictures to follow in this post!
